If you’re dreaming of an Italian-inspired wedding without leaving California, Viansa Winery is one of the most breathtaking venues in Sonoma County. With its Tuscan-style villa, rolling vineyard views, and warm golden sunsets, it’s easy to see why couples fall in love with this iconic Sonoma wedding venue.
From the very beginning, Alexandra and Nathaniel’s July wedding perfectly captured the charm and romance that makes Viansa so special. Their day blended elegant vineyard scenery with playful Italian-inspired details, from a Limoncello wall to wood-fired pizza appetizers – creating a celebration that felt joyful, relaxed, and full of personality.
Summer in Sonoma is something truly magical. The vineyards are lush and green, the hills glow in the evening light, and the weather is warm without being overwhelming. Alexandra and Nathaniel chose July for their wedding date, which meant they were treated to one of those dreamy Sonoma sunsets that every photographer secretly hopes for.
Their ceremony took place in the Viansa barrel room, a space that feels incredibly romantic and intimate. Surrounded by rows of wine barrels and soft, warm lighting, the atmosphere was cozy and meaningful as Alexandra and Nathaniel exchanged their vows with their closest friends and family gathered around them.
After the ceremony, guests moved outside for the reception overlooking the vineyards. As the evening unfolded, the panoramic views of Sonoma Valley created an unforgettable backdrop for the celebration. As the evening unfolded, the vineyard scenery and golden light created the perfect backdrop for a relaxed summer celebration.
Alexandra and Nathaniel leaned into the Tuscan vibe of Viansa beautifully. Their wedding design felt bright, cheerful, and effortlessly elegant.
One of my favorite details from their day was the Limoncello wall, which added the perfect Italian touch and quickly became a guest favorite. It doubled as décor and an experience, letting guests grab a small glass and celebrate the couple.
Their cocktail hour also featured firebrick oven pizzas served as appetizers; a detail that made the entire evening feel relaxed and welcoming. There’s something about fresh pizza and wine in a vineyard that just feels right.
Beyond the beautiful details and incredible setting, what made Alexandra and Nathaniel’s wedding truly special was the people surrounding them.
From the moment the day began, it was clear how loved these two are. Their friends and family brought such warmth and energy to the celebration, and the support in the room was undeniable.
Alexandra and Nathaniel have the kind of relationship that feels natural and effortless. They laugh easily together, support each other deeply, and their connection is obvious to everyone around them.
