Seaside Wedding in Carmel California

I’m so excited to share Yasemin and Marwan’s seaside wedding on the blog today. They celebrated their love at the Hyatt Carmel Highlands overlooking the ocean.

Yasemin reached out in September of 2021 asking about my wedding packages. Little did I know that she wasn’t even engaged yet! And it wasn’t until Marwan reached out to me on Instagram asking me to capture his proposal that I realized that. After a few weeks of planning, Marwan popped the question at Pistachio Beach on October 3, 2021.

A few days later, Marwan and Yasemin reached out to book their wedding. I was beyond stoked. I shot their engagement session at the Dutch Windmills and Palace of Fine Arts back in May.

Fast forward to last Sunday, July 10, 2022, their stunning wedding celebration with their loved ones. Marwan and Yasemin opted for a first look and a private vow exchange. I have never witnessed two people so madly in love than these two. And after hearing their vows, my standards are HIGH! Following their vows, they did a first look with their immediate family, such a cute idea!

During couple’s portraits, Marwan brought out his baby. No, no, not Yasemin, his decorated Jaguar F-Type! I absolutely love when couples incorporate special props in their photos.

Yasemin and Marwan first dance was to the song Turning Page – Sleeping At Last and guys, I teared up. That is one of my all time favorite songs and I loved watching these two dance to it. I wasn’t the only to tear up though, Marwan’s mother teared up while dancing with her baby boy for the “Mother Son Dance” along with a few other family members.

The night ended with the part they were looking forward to the most, cake!

A unique coconut, mango cake. When I asked them both, separately, what they were most looking forward today, they both said cake! They are so meant to be haha.

Yasemin and Marwan, I feel like I’ve known you for a long time. I am so happy that I was there from the beginning of your new adventure together. Thank you both for being so kind, and for allowing me to be apart of your special days.
